What you will work on

Three tasks from the kind of work interns do in this track. Yours depend on the team you join.

[REVIEW: real examples from group companies]

  1. Add a small feature from start to finish

Take a ticket from the backlog, write the code and the tests, and get it through review.

  2. Write tests for code that has none

Pick a module, write unit tests that catch real bugs, and reach the coverage the team asked for.

  3. Speed up a slow part of the code

Measure it first, change it, and show the numbers before and after.

What your mentor checks

Your mentor is someone from the team. They review what you submit every week and ask questions like these. [REVIEW: how often]

  • Does the code do what the ticket asked, and nothing surprising?
  • Are there tests, and do they test the right thing?
  • Can you explain your choices in review?
  • Did you leave the code cleaner than you found it?

Skills you will use

You do not need all of these on day one. Our free trainings cover the basics, and you learn the rest on the project.

  • Java, Python, JavaScript or Go
  • Data structures in real use
  • Git, branches and code review
  • Unit testing
  • Reading other people's code
  • Basic SQL

Questions about this track

How is this different from Web and App Development?

Here you work more on the logic behind the screens: services, data and tests. Web and App is more about what users see.

Do I need competitive coding?

No. Clear, tested code matters more here than puzzle speed.

Which degree fits?

B.Tech, B.E., BCA or B.Sc in computer science or IT. [REVIEW]

Is there any fee?

No. There is no fee to apply, no fee to join and no fee for the certificate. If anyone asks you for money in our name, do not pay, and tell us.

What if this track has no open seats?

We talk about your second choice. If neither fits, you can join a free training and apply again for the next batch.
